This allows for people who are just starting out in training to learn the proper form and movement patterns with a lighter, more manageable barbell. Hence, Practice Bar. 5lb Bumper Plates These tend to be used in conjunction with the practice bar in order to allow the barbell to be the correct height off the ground for exercises like deadlift or cleans, while minimizing the weight being lifted. As with the practice bar, this allows for those just starting out to be able to practice proper form with more manageable weight.</image:caption>
